Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of robotsinthewild.ai (the "Site"), operated by Robots in the Wild Inc ("Robots in the Wild," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The Site is informational
The Site describes our company and our work. Nothing on it is a binding offer, a commitment to provide products or services, a warranty of performance, or professional advice. Content may be incomplete, forward-looking, or subject to change without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time.
2. Not an offer of securities
Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, nor an offer of investment advice. Any statements about our plans, technology, roadmap, or market are forward-looking and involve risk and uncertainty; actual results may differ materially. Do not rely on Site content in making any investment decision.
3. Submissions through our contact form
We welcome inquiries, but you should understand how we treat what you send us.
Submissions are not confidential. Unless we have signed a separate written agreement with you that says otherwise, any information, idea, proposal, feedback, or material you send us through the Site or by email is submitted on a non-confidential and non-proprietary basis. We have no obligation to keep it secret, to review it, to return it, or to compensate you for it.
We work independently on robotics, autonomy, and operations technology, and we receive many inquiries. We may already be developing, or may in the future develop, products, features, or ideas that are similar or identical to something you send us. By submitting material, you acknowledge this and agree that we are free to use, copy, modify, publish, and otherwise exploit any submission for any purpose, without restriction, attribution, or payment to you, and you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to do so.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to send us everything you submit;
- Your submission does not infringe or misappropriate anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Your submission does not contain anyone else's confidential or trade-secret information, and is not subject to a nondisclosure obligation; and
- The information you provide is accurate and you are authorized to provide it on behalf of any company you name.
Please do not send us confidential or trade-secret information. If you need to share something sensitive, contact us first and we can put an appropriate agreement in place.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
- Use the Site or contact form to transmit spam, chain letters, advertising, solicitations, or bulk or automated messages;
- Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene, hateful, or that infringes any third party's rights;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including by submitting someone else's contact details;
- Upload or transmit malware, malicious code, or anything designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or our email;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure;
- Use any robot, scraper, crawler, or automated means to access, harvest, or index the Site or to submit the contact form;
- Interfere with or place undue load on the Site or the infrastructure that supports it, including through denial-of-service or flooding;
- Harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information from the Site; or
- Use the Site in violation of any applicable law, including export-control, anti-spam (such as the CAN-SPAM Act), and computer-fraud laws.
We may block, filter, rate-limit, or refuse any submission, and restrict access from any IP address or network, at our sole discretion and without notice. We may report suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement and cooperate with any resulting investigation.
5. Intellectual property
The Site and its contents — including text, design, graphics, logos, the "Robots in the Wild" name and marks, layout, and code — are owned by Robots in the Wild or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for your own informational and non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, frame, or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Third-party names and marks referenced on the Site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only; their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
6. Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites and relies on third-party services (for example, form processing, email delivery, and web fonts). We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Links are not endorsements. Your use of a third-party site or service is governed by that party's own terms and policies.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site and how we use it, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; THAT THE SITE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR THAT ANY MESSAGE YOU SEND US WILL BE RECEIVED, READ, OR ANSWERED. ANY RELIANCE ON THE SITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROBOTS IN THE WILD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, FOUNDERS, ADVISORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Robots in the Wild and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the Site, anything you submit through it, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or the Site are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at the address in Section 14 and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith for at least thirty (30) days.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. Sections 3 through 5 and 8 through 14 survive any termination.
13. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede any prior understandings on that subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
